Life was great. Studying acting in the theatre capital of the country, clubbing, hanging out, meeting guys.. the life, right?! And I was happy. For the first time in a long time things were going my way. Yes, there were problems but I'm human! For one, I was broke (lol I'm saying "was" as if I'm not still broke :P) and trust me, you do NOT want to be in New York City without money! And two, I was broke!!! It all boils down to that. But I didn't care! I had everything I could ever ask for right in the palm of my hand. If I wanted, I could just walk to Central Park or Times Square, I could jump on the subway to the Empire State Building or to St. Marks Place ($1 pizza.. does it get any better?!) I could go to Coney Island and have a ball at the candy place there!!! There was never a boring moment, I can honestly say that. Especially being the way I am, I can make fun out of almost anything! (Like the time I went for a walk around the upper East Side in my underwear...yeah)
So, I guess I'll start out by telling you guyz what lead to this boring life of mine. I went to Virginia with a super close friend of mine for Christmas. Her family is amazing and I love that girl to death! I had fun, and before I knew it I was back on the train to NYC! I got to Penn Station about ten minutes after my phone died, which means I had no way of getting in touch with my friend who was supposed to come get me in a cab. So there I was with two big luggage bags, a backpack, and a smaller carry-on bag, lugging myself through Penn Station trying to remember how to get to her apartment via subway. I finally made it, and it was SO worth it. I had a ball! My friend was fun to be around and opened up her home for me, which I will forever be grateful for. However, I soon discovered that I wouldn't be able to stay with her as long as we originally planned. My only option was to pack up and move in with dad.
The week before I left was some of the most fun I'd ever had in New York. I went out and had drinks with a friend (where I ended up making out with some random guy. lol..i just walked up to his table and kissed him! Crazy Darius.. lol) while we were there, we had a crazy intense conversation about our lives and it was just amazing to have her in my life. Her name is Catie. Catie was the first person in my acting class that i connected with (besides the two who I met before-hand, and the one who was my roommate). We had so much in common as far as how we viewed life, and we came to realize that we had a lot of the same problems with life as well. It was an awesome night! And two days before I left to Ohio, Me and another friend, Anastasia, decided to ride the subways all night! It was sooo much fun! We saw scary people, and almost got murdered (more like eaten) and danced in the subway cars, and sang songs and it was great! I couldn't believe that I was really leaving.
To be continued...
